MNEMIC: Recording Session Postponed
January 11, 2006Danish modern metallers MNEMIC have abandoned their previously announced plans to record their next album at The Abyss studio with producer Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY, PAIN).
Commented the band: "We are sorry to inform all the people that hoped for a summer release, but that's simply not happening. One of the reasons is simply because we are not ready to enter the studio in February, and second we do not want to rush this album. In stead we will be recording in May, with a different producer at a different studio."
In other news, MNEMIC have scheduled their first gig of 2006 in Puerto Rico at the Tito Puente Amphitheater on March 25.
MNEMIC's sophomore album, "The Audio Injected Soul", was released in September 2004 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Mechanical Spin Phenomena" was recorded at AntFarm Studios in Aarhus, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen. The group's upcoming CD will be their first with singer Tony Jelencovich (formerly of TRANSPORT LEAGUE and B-THONG),who replaced Michael Bøgballe in September.
